About Children’s Hospital Foundation

Here to be the difference every kid deserves.

Children’s Hospital Foundation funds cutting-edge equipment, vital research and on the ground support for kids with all illnesses, injuries and conditions.

We identify and action gaps in funding and support right across the kids’ health landscape – the places left lacking but no less deserving.

Across Queensland and into northern NSW, from the suburbs to the cities, rural, regional and remote, we help all kids not just some, the many not the few.

The difference you’ll make

Research

You could help fund the research that’s needed to find better treatments and ultimately cures for some of the most devastating child illnesses and injuries. Research and medical breakthroughs have the power to change the futures of sick and injured children everywhere.

Equipment

State of the art medical equipment such as the Digital PET-CT scanner provides easier and faster scans for paediatric oncology patients undergoing treatment. This helps ensure sick and injured kids can have the right care delivered in the right place at the right time.

On the ground support

We operate on the ground – in the wards, waiting rooms and research centres, connected to the doctors, nurses and health professionals, the ones caring, supporting and treating sick, ill and injured kids every hour of every day. Our team has been improving the hospital experience for families for more than 30 years.

Meet Good Palpitations!

Good Palpitations, a team from the Queensland Children’s Hospital Physiotherapy Department, took part in 42k Your Way in 2022.

“As physiotherapists we are fortunate enough to witness the support provided by the Children’s Hospital Foundation to sick children and their families during hospital stays. Visiting Kidzone, watching JuicedTV, borrowing LEGO and card games or playing on a Nintendo Switch provides sick kids with an opportunity to focus on ‘just being kids’ while they receive care. Supporting the Children’s Hospital Foundation was therefore an easy choice for us.”

“We have a fantastic community of fundraisers and we’d love you to join them!”

“We’re excited to be running our sixth 42k Your Way in 2024 and we very much hope you’ll get involved and help make it our most successful event yet. So sign up today, have fun, get active - and go the distance for sick and injured children!”
