My target 50kms

I'm going on this journey because of the toughest little guy i know, my son Charlie. I hope to do him proud along with raising funds for every sick kid in Queensland.

Hi guys, my name is Trent and I will be doing the 42k Your Way this August to help raise funds for some of the sickest kids in the state.

My Son Charlie was born 7/6/2022 with a major heart defect Transposition of Greater Arteries along with a VSD hole. With these defects it required a surgical procedure to switch two main arteries back to where they should be and he will be heavily monitored during his early years with his VSD which could need surgery also.

As a first time parent words can't describe how tough it was being able to do nothing and just hoping he will pull through and that he was in the best of hands. So far Charlie is kicking butt and shown some real bravery and fight, that has been one inspiring thing I have taken out of this, Charlie doesn't know it yet but he is my hero and I wish I had half the strength he has shown in his first 3 weeks of life, soooooo.

I will be taking part in the 42K Your Way this August to help raise money for kids just like little Charlie with all sorts of illnesses. It's tough seeing such young people go through so much early in their lives and I just hope that my little contribution goes a long way in helping research and support for family's and their loved ones. Any donation big or small is appreciated because lets face it, it's going to a great cause!!!!!

Thank you so much for listening to my story,

Trent Scheuer.

Charlie's Mission

Hey guy's, as you are aware I'm participating in the 42k your way this month. I'm running and walking 50km this month to raise funds and awareness for all the sick kids in Queensland and the Children's Hospital. My motivation is my son Charlie who spent 4 weeks after birth in hospital awaiting major heart surgery. Since then it has been a success and he has come along way. There is still a long road ahead for him but me doing something small like this is a way to say thank you for the amazing team Charlie had at the Children's Hospital for saving his life, we are forever in their debt. For this challenge I'm trying to raise $2000, so any help will go along way in reach that goal. Thank you for taking the time to read my post and donate to wonderful cause!!!!

Meet Evie

Six-year-old Evie was only four weeks old when she was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis - a life-threatening disorder that damages the lungs and digestive system.

It is expected that Evie will require a double lung transplant eventually. To receive treatment Evie spends four to six weeks away from her home in Chinchilla each time, saying goodbye to her dad, friends and animals.
