I'm raising money for Medical Research

Welcome to my page, Pull Up Your Socks For Brooke! I am Brooke, a 14 year old girl living in rural western Queensland. I have been battling multiple chronic illnesses for the last 5 years. I have ridden the roller coaster of emotions countless times so I know how difficult sickness can be, both for the child and their family. Chronic illnesses have dramatically changed my life. I was a strong, fit, healthy girl who would have a go at anything. These days I’m restricted physically, mentally and socially - on my worst days I struggle to get out of bed. Other days, I have few symptoms, can attend school and even manage to play sport! The problem is, I cannot predict how my health will be on any given day.

I am passionate about raising funds for medical research because an accurate diagnosis is the first step in management & treatment. It can also be a matter of life and death, therefore I have chosen to donate all proceeds to medical research.

From June til August, come along with me as I complete the 42k Your Way Challenge to raise much needed funds for the Children’s Hospital Foundation QLD.

I aim to walk 42kms. With my medical conditions, this in itself is going to be a massive physical challenge. On my bad days I struggle to walk our short hallway without collapsing. But I AM going to do it!

All funds raised will support medical research, equipment and families who have sick kids.
If you are in the financial position to do so, please donate to my 42k Your Way fundraiser.

My wonderful team, Pull Up Your Socks For Brooke, is also selling FUNKY SOCKS with all proceeds also going to this fundraiser.

Check out my Facebook page to find the link to sponsor my walk and purchase FUNKY SOCKS.

I would love to see photos of everyone in their socks. Tag my Facebook page and don’t forget #pullupyoursocksforbrooke

Hi Brooke, I can’t imagine how such a young lady can be so strong and resilience. I have heard only little about what you have to deal with but for someone who has suffered from anaphylaxis and first hand know how it can change you. I came more anxious for years, the scary felling you get of not being in control changed me the first time I had one and the trauma every time after. So I can not begin to fathom how you have been able to deal with all you have had too. Thank you for being brave and doing this great fundraiser for such a great cause. Kind Regards Cameron
